This involved eating as much food (often junk!) as possible to try and pack on as much muscle as possible, as fast as possible...
After months of ‘dirty bulking’ and eating everything and anything, I had gained so much body fat that I had a dad bod while I was still in my 20s...
This was a huge wake-up call as this left me feeling unmotivated and very unhealthy, these extreme bulking & cutting diets even led me to develop a version of binge-eating disorder...
This prompted me to extensively research nutrition and shortly after, I began eating almost exclusively whole foods, while continuously perfecting my workout routine to optimize muscle gains without gaining loads of excess body fat...
By following this approach and staying consistent, I am in the best shape of my life, but more importantly, my health & energy levels are through the roof.
Since then, I have been able to keep my body fat low, while piling on pounds of plant-based muscle all year round and helping others to do the same!
